Ministries You Support

These are some of the fine ministries you support when you make an end-of-year donation to WRAF.

Art of Marriage Conference - February 11 & 12, 2011

When you were standing at the altar reciting your marriage vows, did you have any idea that marriage would be so complex?

It probably didn’t take you long to understand that your spouse is not as much like you as you thought. But figuring them out is more than just an equation.

Marriage is more than a science; it’s an art. And like any art form, requires an investment of time, focused study and the right tools.

If you need to soften some of the edges in your relationship, or want to brighten the landscape of your marriage, The Art of Marriage is for you.

This 6-session marriage event allows you to experience God’s design for marriage from expert teachers and humorous vignettes. You’ll graduate in a few hours better educated about your marriage, your spouse and yourself. Block out time in your schedule to attend The Art of Marriage.

Friday and Saturday, February 11 & 12 at Toccoa Falls College.

Listener's Need Help

This email was received from Ken Pickle, a long-time WRAF listener and supporter:

As you may know, Samantha, Jeff's, and Rasene's Homeplace burnt down Christmas Eve, we have seen what the devil can do, now may God's Glory be shown.

A trust for Jelly Bean Farm Building materials, fixtures, and appliances is set up at Southern Bank & Trust P.O. Box 2080 Clarkesville, Ga 30523.

Call 706 754-0001 and ask for Mike Kelly. Thank you & God Bless, Ken.

Christmas Morning, in the entrance of the horse barn, with the home still smoking 60 feet away, we had Christmas, read the Word of God, prayed, cried, and sought the Lord and his comfort.

A family friend had gathered presents from neighbors, a tree was cut from the woods near by, and like Bethleham so long ago, we had Jesus in our hearts, in a stable.

No words could fully convey, our Love, and gratitude for the lives that
were spared.

Although the Girls lost their four puppy dogs in the fire, and being sick with grief, they are comforted by the Lord's promise to "Work all things to the good of those who love Him, and called according to His purpose."

The Jelly Bean farm home originally built in the 1890's was constructed of log timbers. When the late Mr. & Mrs. Sam Hernandez purchased the 22 acres in 1986, their vision to create a safe environment for their Grand Daughters, Ashley,Raybon, and Della was carried on by Samantha, who in turn has home schooled the Girls with the help of a teacher aid Kathy Hardy.

The Girls nearing graduation, have been now set back as the fire destroyed materials, books, and paperwork. Samantha, and the girls have trained horses, given riding lessons, and boarded horses at times.

With the current economy, there was no insurance policy on the home.
Jeff, a man of many talents, is an accomplished carpenter, and with friends, and family will be able to rebuild, as building materials are supplied.

Jelly Bean Farm has also, sheltered the Elderly, fed the hungry, and is always ready to help where needed.

God Bless you as you are able to give. - Ken P.

WRAF has vetted this request as a legitimate need and encourages to respond as God leads.

Help The "Untouchables"

Spread across South Asia is a forgotten people group too numerous to count. They’re despised by their countrymen and viewed as subhuman. Even the shadows they cast are believed to be contaminated by their filth. They are the Dalits, the "Untouchables" of South Asia.

Their life is valued at less than the animals whose dung they clean from the streets. Banned from the rest of society, they find employment removing trash, discarding animal carcasses and cleaning out latrines and sewers.

When you purchase items from the Gospel For Asia Christmas catalog, you’re choosing to send more than a chicken, a cow or a sewing machine. You’re sending hope that can forever change a life.

Cows supply milk that can be sold. A sewing machine for a widow creates a career and chickens supply an income. That’s why I’m urging you to call 1-877-209-0826 and purchase a gift or gifts that will change lives. Call now 1-877-209-0826.
