Get ready! God is Doing Something Wonderful Through WRAF…

He is changing lives… will you join Him?

The faith-promises are rolling in from those who received our Care-a-thon mailing and along with them are letters of how this ministry is being used by the Holy Spirit to convict people of their need for a deeper walk with Christ.

Families are finding the strength to stay together as the daily encouragement of Toccoa Falls Radio reminds them not to give up. Young listeners are sensing God’s call to the mission field as the Lord is using the preaching and teaching of His Word on the radio. And elderly friends find comfort from the warm familiar voices and inspirational music.

What’s your story? Let us know and remember we need your support as Care-a-thon 2010 begins Monday. Join us in praying for the Holy Spirit to have His way with all of us as together we seek to build God’s kingdom.

Care-a-thon Prayer Focus for Tuesday

In 1 Corinthians chapter 2, The Apostle Paul reminds us that his speech and preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power. Zechariah the Old Testament prophet made it clear that we cannot accomplish the work God has for us by our own efforts and human ingenuity when he penned; “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,” says the Lord.

As WRAF prepares for Care-a-thon 2010 next Monday we are rounding up prayer support to make sure that this work of God is done His way. Please join us in praying for Toccoa Falls Radio to have a continual dependence on God to work in and through us. Jesus himself said, “Without Me you can do nothing!” We need God’s Holy Spirit to work in this ministry now more than ever. Together, let’s seek His outpouring.

Care-a-thon Prayer Focus for Friday

On this Friday we are asking our praying friends to remember WRAF as we begin Care-a-thon 2010 on Monday April 26. Today’s specific focus is for the impact we desire to see Toccoa Falls Radio have on our local communities. Though we’ve heard of how God has used this ministry over the last 30 years, we want to see Him do even more in the years ahead. Please join us in asking the Lord for favor on WRAF and that our programming will help more people know Him and make Him known to our hurting neighborhoods. How has WRAF made a difference where you live? We’d love to know your story.

Care-a-thon Prayer Focus Day 3

The Bible teaches in 2 Corinthians 9:6 that whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

WRAF remains on the air because of the incredible generosity of giving listeners. Care-a-thon 20 -10 officially begins Monday April 26. Every day between now and the kickoff with have specific items we are asking you to pray about. Today’s request is for the Lord to prepare the hearts of His people to be generous in their support of WRAF. We see this generosity year in and year out, but are reminded that it is God who stirs the hearts of donors and provides them the means to underwrite this ministry.

Please join us in asking God to once again create an atmosphere of generosity which will lead to the necessary funding to keep WRAF a vital force for truth and godliness in the tri-states. And don’t forget to let us know how God allows you to also reap generously.

Would you join us today and pray for 300 generous listeners who have never supported WRAF to join our team with a first-time faith-promise during Care-a-thon 2010? Care-a-thon begins Monday April 26 and we are seeking committed Christians to come along side us and pray for God’s anointing on this fundraiser. We need 300 new donors this year and we are trusting God that He will raise them up to stand with us.

Win "Secrets of the Mountain" DVD

WRAF has teamed up with our friends at Focus On The Family to give away the new "Secrets of the Mountain" DVD. Listen to The Morning Show with Mike to win your copy.

Somewhere between the demands of her career, her ex’s wedding and her kids’ busy schedules, Dana James (Paige Turco, The Agency) is noticing her tight-knit family starting to unravel. An unexpected offer to purchase her family’s mountain property sets up a weekend road trip, which she hopes will bring her family back together. But when they arrive, they quickly learn that the mountain is much more than it seems. An ancient secret and a treacherous quest will test the family like never before. It’s an edge-of-the seat thriller that reminds us that when times are tough, families don’t run away from problems – they run back to each other.

Stephens County Spring Hike

Stephens County Foundation will be sponsoring a seasonal spring hike at the Estatoe Heritage Site along the Tugaloo Corridor on Saturday, April 24th. The public is invited to join local naturalist Jim Sullivan for a nature walk through the forests and wetland edges at the Tugaloo Corridor Estatoe Heritage Site. The hike will focus on the spring wildflowers and their habitats. We’ll also discuss the exotic/invasive plant issues the property is facing.

Interested walkers and nature buffs meet at the Estatoe Heritage Property on Yonah Dam Road, 2.1 miles from Prather Bridge Road at 9:00 am. Participants should bring a packed lunch and drink. Long pants and stout shoes should be worn as poison ivy may be encountered. There are no restroom facilities presently available at the site.

Care-a-thon Prayer Focus Day 1

We are 2 weeks away from Care-a-thon 20-10. Care-a-thon is our annual fundraiser where we ask you who benefit from the music and programs to partner with us. This way we can reach our community for Christ with another year of quality Christian radio programming.

We are also asking you to join us in praying for Care-a-thon. Our special prayer focus today is that our Care 20-10 mailing will arrive in a timely manner. There are over 10,000 people on our mailing list and this mail piece is a key ingredient in alerting supporters of our ongoing needs.

Pray that there are no delays at the post office and that everyone who gets the newsletter will consider joining with us by making a faith-promise to underwrite the budget for Toccoa Falls Radio.

If you are not on our mailing list and would like to be please contact us.
