I discovered a wonderful new praise song today from VMusic featuring Kristy Starling called "Carried Away." It will be featured on an upcoming edition of Sunday Morning Worship. Watch the video and let me know if you'd like to hear it on the radio.

Church of the Week: January 18, 2010

Congratulations to Pastor Steve Doerter and the entire congregation!

Marc nominated the church and says, "Our congregation ... reaches out to the community and hurting people who are not even part of our membership in many ways. We vigorously support our local food bank which has been heavily taxed these last two years with food and manpower to keep this service available. Our youth minister has an active group and coaches several sports at the middle school level to provide support and leadership for the young people. We have an active women's fellowship and alanon support group. We support missionaries in China, Paraguay, Guatemala, South Korea, Lebanon, Africa and YWAM. We've seen great success through prayer in healings for cancer and autism, with help going to people outside of our church who have come in to us as a last hope because they've heard we are not afraid to pray and believe god for miracles and many times they come. We've supported families through unexpected tragedies like the loss of young children who again just walked through our doors because they heard we pray. Our Pastors are also involved in the multi-church outreaches that occur in our small western Carolina community on the Highlands/Cashiers plateau. The pastors and body are truly worthy of acknowledgment and honor for what they've done for the Lord."
